What's Tweetmeme?!

A Tweetmeme is a memetracker that tracks popular retweets in Twitter. Oh I seeee.....what's a memetracker then?

Professor Wikipedia says....
A memetracker is a tool for studying the migration of memes across a group of people. The term is typically used to describe websites that either:
  1. analyze blog posts to determine what web pages are being discussed or cited most often on the World Wide Web, or
  2. allow users to vote for links to web pages that they find of interest.
Sites in the latter group are often referred to as social media sites.

Huh???!!! *read definition again....and again....and again*

What's a meme now?

Professor Wikipedia says...
A meme is a unit of social information. It is a relatively newly coined term and identifies ideas or beliefs that are transmitted from one person or group of people to another. The concept comes from an analogy: as genes transmit biological information, memes can be said to transmit idea and belief information.

Mom2kiddos have come to the conclusion that a Tweetmeme is a Retweettir.
