When You Can't Get Your Kid To Blow His Nose......

......tell him a HORROR story.

When my son has a cold, sometimes it's difficult to get him to blow his nose. So we tell him a story....

"If you don't want to blow your nose, your mucous will stay inside. When it's inside long enough, it'll start to turn green. After it turns green for a while, it'll start to smell. Smelly mucous will attract flies because flies like smelly things. Flies love to lay their eggs on smelly things. What will hatch from these eggs? Mmaaaggots...(use scary voice). When they hatch you'll feel them crawling all over inside your nose (wiggle your finger)....they'll start to feed on your flesh because they'll be hungry. Remember the hungry caterpillar? So, they'll be feeding and feeding and feeding on your nose until you are left with...."

Before I can finish the story, he makes a beeline to the tissue box.
